Ms. Humphrey

After 25 years of teaching in a public school setting, I am looking forward to my third year of being a part of the New Vistas School Family! For the 2017-2018 school year, I will be teaching Biology I, Earth Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and middle and high school Art. I will also be teaching study strategies to a small group of students.

I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Biology and furthered my education at Lynchburg College where I received my Masters in Secondary Education. About 11 years ago I returned to L.C. and became certified to teach students with learning differences. This year marks my 29th year in teaching! I love science but what I love the most about teaching is encouraging, guiding, and helping students be successful.

I enjoy camping, reading, listening to music, going to the mountains, vacationing at the beach and doing things with my friends and family.

“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci
