I am looking forward to my fifth year of being a part of the New Vistas School Family! For the 2019-2020 school year, I will be teaching Environmental Science I, Environmental Science II, Every Day Science, Exploratory Art, and Exploratory Cooking.
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Biology and furthered my education at University of Lynchburg (Lynchburg College) where I received my Masters in Secondary Education. About 15 years ago I returned to the University of Lynchburg and became certified to teach students with learning differences. This year marks my 30th year teaching! I love Science but what I love the most about teaching is encouraging, guiding, and helping students be successful.
I enjoy camping, reading, listening to music, going to the mountains, vacationing at the beach, and doing things with my friends and family.
“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci
