I am thrilled to return full time as the Upper School History and Civics Instructor and Assistant Physical Education Instructor to Ms. Royer.

My past has been vast as I hold an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and Management and I also have a technical teaching license with Virginia Department of Education obtained through University of Phoenix. I have been an active member of my daughter’s girl scout troops and my son’s cub scout troop. In my lifetime I have performed a wide variety of skills, yet decided that I wanted to work with the youth of America while I was volunteer coaching for the YMCA youth soccer program. Teaching is a passion of mine and I do not envision myself doing anything else.

This year I am proud to teach United States History and Government, Global and Local Economics and Personal Finance, and World Geography. We explore these subjects through assignments, discussions, videos, projects, and assessments. We also prepare a variety of dishes to cater to specific geographical regions. We are going to have some FUN!!!

I am thrilled to be a part of the NVS community that recognizes that some people learn differently, so we teach differently. I look forward to serving this community.
