For the 2024-2025 school year, I will be teaching Earth Science, Biology, Environmental Science, Study Strategies, and Upper School Art.
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Biology and furthered my education at University of Lynchburg where I received my Masters in Secondary Education. After teaching for about 10 years, I realized I had a connection with students who need a little extra help. I returned to the University of Lynchburg and became certified to teach students with learning differences.
This is my tenth year at NVS. I have over 30 years of teaching experience! I love Science but what I love the most about teaching is encouraging, guiding, and helping students be successful.
I enjoy camping, canoeing, photography, listening to music, going to the mountains, and hanging out with my friends and family. I have a passion for nature, drawing, painting, or anything art related.
“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.”
~ Leonardo da Vinci
