I am excited to start my first year, and first teaching job, at New Vistas School. For the 2021-2022 school year, I am teaching U.S. History, U.S. Government, Economics and Personal Finance, and World Geography.
I graduated from Longwood University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in History with a concentration of secondary education. Directly after graduating in May of 2019, I started my Masters in History. I finished my Masters this past May. Before coming to work at New Vistas, I worked with CCRES. CCRES is a non-profit organization that focuses on helping students with educational and behavioral services. I learned a lot from CCRES and I hope to use that knowledge while I am teaching here at New Vistas and anywhere else I go.
I am very passionate about history and I want to be able to teach these students about why history is important. I’ve only been here a few weeks, but the students are excellent and I look forward to working with them all year.
