Hello!  My name is Susan Royer.  It is a privilege to introduce myself as one of the teachers of Middle School Language Arts and Barton Reading and Spelling teachers at New Vistas School!

Ten years ago, I had the opportunity to teach five years of elementary at NVS, thus enhancing my teaching techniques and instructional methods.  As a result, I have developed communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills that allow me to instruct and encourage students to take command of the English Language and express themselves by communicating by speaking, reading, observing, and listening!

One of my greatest strengths as an educator is instilling a love for literacy in my students.  So, I feel privileged to teach writing, reading and The Barton Method Reading System this year!
