For the 2025-2026 school year, I am teaching Earth Science, Biology, Everyday Science, Anatomy and Physiology, and Study Strategies.
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Biology and furthered my education at University of Lynchburg where I received my Masters in Secondary Education. After teaching for about 10 years, I realized I had a connection with students who need a little extra help. I returned to the University of Lynchburg and became certified to teach students with learning differences.
This is my 36th year of teaching, with the best eleven of those years teaching at NVS. I love Science; however, what I love the most about teaching is encouraging, guiding, and helping students be successful.
I enjoy camping, canoeing, photography, listening to music, going to the mountains, and hanging out with my friends and family. I have a passion for nature, drawing, painting, or anything art related.
“Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.”
~ Leonardo da Vinci
